What is the cost of a new flat roof?

Just need a guideline of how much a new flat roof will costs?

When it comes to pricing a new flat roof, High-Tech Membrane Roofing firmly believes that one size certainly does not fit all. Therefore, we never talk about ‘averages’ when it comes to replacing or installing a single-ply membrane roof; we prefer to speak directly to our customers to get the information we need before providing you with a sensible and measured estimate.

Due to the nature of our work, we are unable to offer a definitive price until your existing roof has been removed (this is true for all roofing companies). This is because our surveyor is able to ascertain the condition of your roof and the level of work required when they visit, but will not be able to see what damage may have been done to your roof’s joists if there has been a significant leak or damage sustained over a long period of time.

Every roof is different; you could look at three houses on the same street and although they may look exactly the same, need a completely different level of work. For example, one may have poor insulation whereas another may have rotten boards that need replacing. The other may literally just need a new flat roof.

Therefore, here at High-Tech Membrane Roofing we provide our customers with all of the information we can to ensure you are informed of all of the possibilities upfront. We will give you an estimate on what we believe will be required, but also supply you with additional prices based on the possibility of further work being required. Because our surveyors are highly skilled and experienced in their assessments, it is rare that our costs will fluctuate significantly. However, nasty surprises have been found to be lurking under roofs, so by providing you with a ‘worst case scenario’ price, you are able to budget for all eventualities.

This price is then valid for six months, giving you time to shop around, budget and make the right decision for your needs.

On the day of your flat roof installation, our team will arrive with boards ready to be installed if required, meaning minimal time added to your project. If, like High-Tech Membrane Roofing, you are based in Benfleet, we may request for joists to be delivered to your property, which will again, add virtually no additional time to your installation. You will also be able to see your existing decking as it is coming down to see what damage has occurred, and the decision to replace boards will be made with the customer’s full input.
